Three Images Recognized in Art in Nature Show

The jurors for the annual Art in Nature Exhibit presented a 3rd Place Award to my image "Cheesemonger, Apeiranthos, Greece" and Honorable Mention Awards to "Naxos Potter Yia Yia" and "Cascade of Life". The July 2020 online show was sponsored by the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art at Salisbury University.

"Grand Central Shield" Juried into FCC Show

My monochrome image entitled "Grand Central Shield" was accepted in July 2020 for the FCC Juried Show, sponsored annually by the Frederick Camera Clique. Normally a gallery show on display at Frederick Community College, this year's show was exhibited online.

Two Images Juried into Online Allegany National Show

Two of my images, "Cascade of Life" and "Shack Shake Tableau", were accepted into the 6th annual Allegany National Photography Competition and Exhibition, sponsored by the Allegany Arts Council in Cumberland, MD. The show -- which was cancelled as a gallery show -- is available online at www.AlleganyPhotoShow.org.

Monochrome Print Accepted for Hagerstown Juried Show

"Cheesemonger, Apeiranthos, Greece", a candid portrait I made on the Greek island of Naxos, was accepted for display at the 2020 Cumberland Valley Photographers Exhibition at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown, MD.

Two Prints Juried into 33rd Annual Clique Show

Two of my prints --"Beauty on Henderson Blvd" and "WTC PATH-Ways" -- were accepted for display in the 33rd Annual Frederick Camera Clique Juried Exhibition, held in July. The exhibit was held at the Mary Condon Hodgson Gallery at Frederick Community College.

"Exxon Blues" Accepted for National Juried Show

My color print of "Exxon Blues" was juried into the national multi-media show at the Delaplaine Arts Center in Frederick, MD. The show was held in the spring of 2019.

Exhibit of Historic Western Maryland Photos from A. Aubrey Bodine Donated to FSU

Featuring images from Allegany, Garrett, and Washington counties, nearly 40 prints from the exhibit "Master Black-and-White Photographer A. Aubrey Bodine: Western Maryland Images from the 1940s-1960s" were donated to Frostburg State University for scholarly use. I curated the show with Bodine's daughter, Jennifer, and arranged for the prints to be exhibited in Cumberland and Frostburg.

"Silence & Storm" Named BetterPhoto.com All-Time Staff Favorite

My image entitled "Silence & Storm - Doolin, Ireland" earned the status of "All-Time Staff Favorite" in BetterPhoto.com's 20th Anniversary All-Time Best Contest. More than 16,000 photos were evaluated in the international contest. You also can view the photo in the "Magical Places" gallery of this website.

E-Greeting Card Site Interviews Martin

Harmony Wishes, an electronic greeting card website for fine art photography, selected more than a dozen of my images for its gallery of customizable e-cards. Megan Matlach, the owner of the site, interviewed me for a posting on the HarmonyWishes blog and issued a news release about my photography.

Martin Serves as Judge for Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts

The Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts invited me to be a juror for its 2014 Sidewalk Sale and Exhibition. The Festival attracted hundreds of multi-media artists and at least 100,000 visitors to State College, PA.
